METRO HOV/HOT Lane Holiday Hours, Closures

METRO HOV/HOT lanes will be closed on Christmas Day (Friday, Dec. 25) and New Year's Day (Friday, Jan. 1) in celebration of the upcoming holidays.

Adjusted schedule for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve:

 THURSDAY, DEC. 24, 2015 (CHRISTMAS EVE)

  • Inbound lanes open 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. 
  • Lanes close between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Outbound lanes open 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

THURSDAY, DEC. 31, 2015 (NEW YEAR'S EVE)

  • Inbound lanes open 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. 
  • Lanes close between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.  
  • Outbound lanes open 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The downtown Katy-CBD HOV ramp (between Taylor/Studemont and Franklin Streets) will operate continuously.

All three Diamond Lanes along US-59 Southwest Freeway (between SH-99 and W. Airport), I-10 Katy Freeway (between Mason Road and SH-6) and US-290 Northwest Freeway (between Barker Cypress and FM-1960) will operate in both directions.
