Local elementary students are in for a treat when METRO staff throws open the doors to offer them a tour of bus facilities, also known as bus barns, during the week of December 14.
A ride through a giant (and
noisy) bus wash, along with a simulated excursion into a snow storm are just a few of the activities students will experience while at these facilities. Kids will also be treated to games, cookies, hot cocoa and visits with Santa. To cap off this fun and eventful day, gifts, made possible by donations from METRO employees, will be distributed to each and every child.
EDITORS NOTE: Celebrations are staged throughout the week of December 14. To make arrangements to visit any of these events, please call the METRO Press Office at 713-739-4040 or email mr48@ridemetro.org

Bus
operators, mechanics and other METRO elves, will welcome elementary students for the ride of the
2015 Holiday Season. METRO's Adopt-A-School Christmas Program is a labor of love
for METRO staff who coordinate with
elementary school principals to identify children in need of some holiday magic. |
