The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. Besides operating more than 1,200 buses on a New Bus Network, METRORail's expanded system includes the Red Line (Main Street and Northline), Green Line (East End) and Purple Line (Southeast). METRO’s services also include: STAR Vanpool, METROLift, HOV lanes, HOT lanes, Bikes-on-Buses/Trains program, Park & Ride, and road improvement projects. New Burnett Transit Center Brings Better Connections

METRO Chairman Gilbert Garcia, Board members Christof Spieler, Jim Robinson and Diann Lewter, along with State Representative Carol Alvarado, Daniel Bustamante of Casa de Amigos and community members, cut the ribbon on the new Burnett Transit Center.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) celebrated the grand opening this morning of Burnett Transit Center located at 700 Burnett St. and Everett St. It is a key New Bus Network connection, allowing patrons to easily transfer from local bus to light-rail.

Burnett Transit Center continues METRO's efforts to provide a more comprehensive transit system by creating a seamless link between light-rail and local bus.

051 Hardy-Kelly
052 Hardy-Ley
079 W. Little York

Elevators take patrons to the Burnett Station Rail Platform from the bus bays below.
