METRO Resumes Limited Service Following Historic Flooding

METRO is beginning limited bus and rail operations today.  But severe flooding still exist across our region and travel will be reserved for areas deemed safe.

 

Rail service resumed at 10:30 a.m, with trains running every 15 minutes on all lines.

 

Local bus service will resume at noon on major routes:

1 Hospital

2 Bellaire

8 South Main

20 Long Point

25 Richmond

40 Pecore/Telephone

50 Harrisburg/Heights

52 Scott/Hirsch

56 Airline

65 Bissonnet

77 Liberty/MLK

81 Sharpstown

82 Westheimer

163 Fondren

 

Buses will run as conditions allow.  There will not be a set schedule and passengers should allow for extra time.

 

There will be no park and ride service today.

 

There will be no HOV/HOT lane service offered today.

 

METROLift will be offering medically necessary trips only starting at noon.  METROLift will also take reservations for tomorrow from noon to 8 p.m.

 

METRO will continue to monitor weather conditions and adjust service as needed.
