A Sign of the Times as METRO Launches a New Bus Network

Something big is happening at METRO. You'll see it around Houston.     METRO's New Bus Network is coming Aug. 16, 2015 and will forever change the way the Houston region gets around.  The network will significantly improve transit by linking commuters to more destinations seven days a week, providing simpler routes and better connections.  Starting this week you'll see new signs at bus stops explaining changes for that particular route. The message is clear: More service. Better service. Your service.

"Our customers wanted a service that fits the changing regional patterns of development and population trends, and a foundation to grow ridership," said  METRO Chairman Gilbert Garcia.  "Our new network will move us in this direction and will also more fully integrate the bus and rail networks into a seamless system to better serve riders, not only today but into the future.”
