EIR Accessibility: Policies, Regulations, and Risks

Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) accessibility is a responsibility shared by Texas state agencies and institutions of higher education. This one-hour webinar features two guest speakers who will provide a perspective into aspects of accessibility policy (Texas), regulations, and litigation at state and national levels. Angela English, Executive Director of the Texas Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities, will discuss the process that the Committee takes to create policy recommendations to the Texas Legislature. Lainey Feingold, nationally recognized civil rights attorney, will provide a legal update on a range of IT accessibility related areas including regulations and recent litigation occurring at state and national levels.

■ Lainey Feingold is a nationally recognized civil rights attorney representing persons with disabilities under federal and state law, primarily in matters seeking class-wide relief.
AUDIENCE
The target audience for this session includes Information Resources Mangers (IRMs), EIR Accessibility Coordinators, and others responsible for assuring the accessibility of electronic and information resources in Texas state agencies and institutions of higher education.
