Texas Building Energy Efficiency Performance Standards: Request for Comment

Pursuant to 34 TAC §19.52, the State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) is accepting written comments on the energy efficiency provisions of the 2015 International Residential Code for single-family residential construction and the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code for all commercial, multi-family and industrial construction.

Comments on the newly published energy codes are encouraged from any persons interested in energy efficiency building codes for residential, commercial, and industrial construction, including without limitation:

• commercial and residential builders;
• architects and engineers;
• municipal, county, and other local government authorities; and
• environmental groups.

Written comments may be submitted in person at the SECO office, by email or through the United States Postal Service at the following address:
