Hello! Please review this email for important information about OWEB’s upcoming Forest Collaborative grant cycle.

In March 2016, OWEB will accept Federal Forest Health Collaborative Project Development Technical Assistance grant applications.  These grants are intended to accelerate the effectiveness of local collaboratives in order to increase restoration efforts on federal forests statewide. Each grant will be specific to a local collaborative’s needs and establish goals and objectives specific to the nature of their place-based work.

  • Utilize the current application forms posted online.
  • Be emailed to Kathy Leopold (kathy.leopold@state.or.us) before 5:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2016.

Late applications will not be accepted!

Eligible Applicants:

The only eligible applicants are local collaborative groups engaged in forest restoration and/or stewardship on federal forests in Oregon (including forests managed by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) or Bureau of Land Management (BLM)). Applicants can apply if they have a current, open, Forest Collaborative Project Development TA Grant; however, if awarded a new grant agreement will not be released and expenses cannot be incurred until the previous grant has been closed.  Applicants with a current, open Forest Collaborative Project Development TA Grant should be clear in their timeline for proposed activities that work will not begin until the previous grant has been closed.
