We’re looking for your feedback on new bus stop bench designs.
Earlier in November, we installed prototypes at two locations:
Bench: SE Cesar Chavez, nearside Hawthorne, southbound Line 75 –stop ID 7460
Leaner: SE Stark, nearside 122nd, westbound Line 20 – stop ID 5426
 These benches, fabricated by a local, woman-owned business, should be more durable and easier to maintain. The “Leaner” design gives an alternative to standing in locations where a bench won’t safely fit and are similar in concept to the leaning rails found at our MAX stations. All costs of this test have been covered by Lamar Advertising.
