Service Alert: E-fare construction to close Pioneer Square South MAX Station today

Starting today, Monday, April 27, construction for our new electronic fare (e-fare) system continues at the Pioneer Square South MAX Station. Work will last about a week and the station will be closed during this time. Please catch Blue and Red line trains at the Library/SW 9^th Ave or the Mall/SW 4^th Ave stations.

Sidewalks alongside the station will remain open. Construction will also begin at the Parkrose Sumner MAX Stations on April 27. This station will remain open and served by trains during construction.

Work hours will be from 7 a.m. through 6 p.m., Monday–Saturday. Expect some noise from saw cutting and excavation. Nearby businesses will remain open during construction.
