Service Alert: E-fare construction to close Pioneer Square South MAX Station Monday, April 27

On Monday, April 27, construction for our new electronic fare (e-fare) system continues at the Pioneer Square South MAX Station. Work will last about a week and the station will be closed during this time. Please catch Blue and Red line trains at the Library/SW 9^th Ave or the Mall/SW 4^th Ave stations.

Sidewalks alongside the station will remain open. Construction will also begin at the Parkrose/Sumner MAX Station on April 27. This station will remain open and served by trains during construction.

Work hours will be from 7 a.m. through 6 p.m., Monday–Saturday. Expect some noise from saw cutting and excavation. Nearby businesses will remain open during construction.
