Friends and Neighbors,
Oregon is one of the few states where the student achievement gap is actually widening instead of closing, and where overall achievement of students has remained stagnate for the better part of the past decade.
I hope you will join me next week as I continue my summer forum series, with a focus on education and closing the achievement gap. I plan on having a discussion on the best practices and policy initiatives from around the state and nation that can increase student achievement.
