 Working Hard For You

MERRY CHRISTMAS

There are many troubling issues facing our state and nation, but now is not the time to delve into them.  Rather I will choose to take a little time for reflection.  The first Europeans came to this country to escape religious persecution.  While the fundamental underpinnings of this country may be based on the Judeo Christian ethic, we have always supported the right for everyone to worship in the manner they chose.  Later on we separated from England because of government tyranny.   We created a country the like of which the world had never seen, one based on personal freedom with a government answerable to the people (not the other way around).

As a nation we still have much to be grateful for and I hope we all take the time to acknowledge this fact.  There will always be many challenges we face, but if we remember our founding we will collectively be able to deal with them.  I know many people are currently facing hard times, but this is nothing new.  One of the great things about this country is we each have within our grasp the ability to become all we can be.  This is not a freedom found very many places in this world.

I hope each of you will be able to find the time to reflect, not on your problems, but on the many blessing you do have.  And, as I have never been a big fan of political correctness, I want to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS.  It is also my hope that 2014 will be a better year for us all.

Sincerely,

Senator Jeff Kruse
