Dear Friends and Constituents:

|
Visitors from the American Cancer Society visiting with Senator Hansell.
|
The session is in full swing and I am learning new things every day. We have settled in as an office and have put ourselves in a position to give Eastern Oregon a strong voice in the Capitol. Since it is difficult to return home when we are in session I was joyed to once again have many visitors stop by the office to discuss issues impacting District 29.
We had a great group of ladies visit me from the American Cancer Society. They were able to inform me on the issues important to them and shared about some exciting future events within Northeast Oregon including the Relay for Life in both Pendleton and Hermiston on June 22nd and 28th, respectively.
I was also pleased to help welcome Leadership Hermiston and had the opportunity to spend some time with them on the Senate Floor and explain a bit about how things work in and around the Capitol. My nephew, Tyler Hansell, is one of the participants in this 10 month program that has full day sessions once a month designed to expose participants to current issues facing the Hermiston community.

Best Regards,
Bill Hansell, Oregon State Senator
