Salem, OR – The Oregon State Senate passed House Joint Memorial 14-A today with a vote of 28-0. This memorial urges Congress and the U.S. Veterans' Administration to release information regarding the Patient-Centered Community Care Program (PC3). Many are concerned that veterans from rural areas are not receiving the care they need from the PC3 program. By passing HJM 14-A, the Oregon Senate is demanding to know why.

School Safety Bill Garners Bipartisan Support
Salem, OR – On Tuesday, Senator Tim Knopp (R-Bend) carried HB 2661-A on the Senate floor. This school safety bill provides that school drills and instruction on safety threats include lockdown, lockout, shelter in place, and evacuation procedures with tsunami drills required only in tsunami hazard zones.
