Dear friends,

    There are two upcoming events in the Eugene-Springfield area that I want you to be aware of. Tomorrow, April 23, from 6:30-8pm the Legislature's Joint Committee on Ways & Means will hold a community hearing at the Springfield City Hall Council Chambers. This is an opportunity to have your voice heard in the state's budget process.

    On Monday, April 27, from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. the Oregon Department of Justice, Department of Consumer & Business Services and AARP Oregon will host "Scam Jam" at the Hult Center. This is an opportunity to learn how to spot and fight back against con artists. Register for free, here.
