Winter driving returns to southern Oregon
ROSEBURG/MEDFORD — Drivers should prepare for the return of winter driving conditions, with the forecast for snow in the mountains and a mixture of possible snow and rain in the valleys. Travel in northern and central Oregon through the weekend could be hazardous.
Conditions can change without notice. Be sure to adjust your driving to the conditions:
- · Plan ahead; leave early for your destination
- · Slow down and leave extra stopping distance
- · Pack tire chains and know how to put them on
- · Don’t pass snowplows or sanders, and don’t follow them too closely; they will pull over!
