Parent, Student, and Teacher Guide (PSTG) Issues

Dear District Test Coordinator,
Due to the abbreviated transition timeline of our current testing program, the Office of Assessments was not able to fully vet the newly released items placed in the Parent, Student, and Teacher Guides (PSTGs) by teacher committees in the same manner as all state assessment items. The Assessment Office has been solely focused on the state assessments, and as a result some PSTG items are not correct as they are published in these documents for Grades 3-8.
Please continue to use the Test and Item Specifications manual and the test blueprints to prepare your students for the state assessments. Remember that PSTGs or practice tests are in no way predictive of student performance on the actual assessment.
Note also: state assessments given in the Spring 2015 window are aligned to Oklahoma Test and Item Specifications, and selected from the existing item bank aligned to PASS. In addition, these items were reviewed by teacher committees and field tested to ensure their validity and reliability.
Please accept my apologies for the confusion this may have caused and find the attached replacement items. These corrections will be made to the pdf version of the PSTGs on our website.
Sincerely,
Sonya Fitzgerald, Executive Director of State Testing
