Spring Testing Updates

Spring Test Preparation In-services

The final Test Preparation In-service was conducted through WebEx on January 29, 2015.  This is a required training for all District Test Coordinators and Building Test Coordinators.  Please contact the Office of Assessments (Assessments@sde.ok.gov) immediately if someone in your district has not been trained so that arrangements can be made to complete the training requirement.

Non-Standard Accommodation Application Window

The Non-Standard Accommodation Application window for Spring Grades 3-8 & EOI  testing, as well as Summer testing, will be open February 13^rd through March 2^nd.   

The OSTP ELA/Reading Test Read-Aloud Protocol and Form U (Unique Accommodations) may be downloaded from the links embedded in the OSTP IEP/504 Accommodations Manual (page 19).  Additionally, specific requirements and documentation for requesting a non-standard accommodation(s) are detailed on pages 9-11 in the Manual.  Only students with disabilities are eligible for consideration for the OSTP non-standard accommodations.

Calculators

In general, calculators of lesser capability may be utilized on state assessments approved on the calculator policy. For instance, scientific calculators (or 4 function calculators) are allowed on the Grade 8 science test for Spring 2015.

Grade 5/8 Writing PSTGs

The online version of the Grade 5/8 Writing Test PSTG is available on the Measured Progress Help & Support Site. Paper versions will arrive in districts by February 6^th.

Precode Wave dates

Multiple Choice - Last Day to Certify - Friday, February 13, 2015  (Please note:  EOI will be automatically precoded through the Wave this spring).

iPad/Tablets

Students receiving text-to-speech accommodations or zoom accommodations will need to utilize a desktop/laptop computer for these accommodations, as they will not be supported by iPads or tablets.

Technology Survey dates

The 2015 Oklahoma Annual District Technology Survey listed in "Accountability at a Glance" is now available online. To access the survey, log into the OSDE Single Sign On and click the Oklahoma Annual District Technology Survey application. To make things easier, the financial questions have been separated into a separate survey. Within the application, you will have a link to each part of the survey. These links are unique to your district.

The due date for the survey specified in "Accountability at a Glance" is Feb. 15.
