Dear Superintendents and District Test Coordinators,
The deadline for certifying your student precode data in the Wave for grades 3-8 is quickly approaching. As in past years, the Wave is handling the precode/registration for students testing at Grades 3-8. Schools and districts must certify their student data on the Wave by Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Schools should manually mark students directly in the Wave who are participating in the Oklahoma Alternate Assessment Program (OAAP) or who qualify for OCCT large-print, Braille, and paper/pencil accommodated tests for grades 6-8 math and reading and grade 7 geography. The Wave will provide a file to CTB, which will generate labels, all paper/pencil testing materials, and upload students into CTB’s Online Assessment System for grades 6-8 online tests. Districts that do not certify their data and mark students for accommodated testing materials will NOT automatically receive testing materials, which includes Parent, Student, and Teacher Guides, Test Administration Manuals, test books, or labels. All materials will then need to be ordered directly from CTB once their Additional Materials Window opens in March, and online testers will need to be manually uploaded to their system. It is extremely important that all districts complete this data certification process on time.
Additionally, your Spring End-of-Instruction precode file is due to CTB by this Friday, January 31. Having this file in by this date will ensure that students testing online are uploaded into the Online Assessment System for spring tests and that paper/pencil tests and labels are produced for students requiring these materials. CTB will be accepting an additional bulk upload for online students only February 3-28, 2014. This is an another opportunity to upload students into their Online Assessment System; however, no additional paper/pencil testing materials will be produced from this file.
