Now is
the time for organizations to compile data on any specific independent projects
that have resulted in energy savings that you would like to remove from ES2’s
fee calculations.
Requests
for exemptions from ES2’s fees for January through June of 2014 must be
completed by October 31, 2014. Please submit all requests as soon as possible.
For
a complete submission, please submit each request through the online form and email IPMVP-adherent
supporting documentation to 20x2020@omes.ok.gov. Further information
is available in the online instructions.
If you have any questions
about this process, please email 20x2020@omes.ok.gov.

- Many organizations have started entering utility data into EnergyCAP. While reviewing your utility bills, please ensure your
agency/institution is not paying taxes. (This assumes that your tax exempt
status is current.)

Naming Conventions
Naming
conventions are critical to the quality of data and thus the success of the
goal to reduce energy by 20% by 2020. Please follow the naming conventions
detailed in the “how to” documents that are found on the implementation
page.
Note: Naming
conventions are necessary because these elements are shared by everyone in the
database and must be unique in a standardized way.

Each
individual has the opportunity to contribute to our goal of reducing energy
consumption 20% by proactively finding small ways to help.
This week's tip:
Take responsibility for turning off lights when leaving an area.
According to
the U.S. Energy Information Administration, lighting alone accounts for around
21% of a building’s energy use so there is great potential for savings. Please
look for opportunities where you can step it up and switch it off.
Please pass tips on to your building
occupants. These tips will cover ideas that general occupants and operations
staff can implement, starting with the basics.
If you have any questions or
ideas on tips to share, please contact Morgan Miller of ES2 at
mmiller@es2ok.com or 405-528-4500.
