Income Tax/Corporation Tax – NYS provides guidance regarding the inability to e-file certain 2015 corporate franchise tax and partnership forms

If the forms you need to file your Article 9-A corporate franchise tax return and MTA surcharge return for 2015 are not yet available to be e-filed, you must electronically file the appropriate request for a six-month extension to file: Form CT-5, Request for Six-Month Extension to File (for franchise/business taxes, MTA surcharge, or both), Form CT-5.3, Request for Six-Month Extension to File (for combined franchise or combined MTA surcharge return, or both) or Form CT-5.4, Request for Six-Month Extension to File New York S Corporation Franchise Tax Return.
