NYSDEC announces NYC public meeting for Ocean Action Plan

On January 15, 2015, New York State's Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Department of State (DOS) issued a comprehensive draft Ocean Action Plan (OAP) to protect and restore the state's ocean resources and to address urgent issues facing these resources and coastal communities. The original press release from January 15, 2015 may be viewed online.
The draft OAP is available on DEC's and DOS's website. The public is invited to submit comments on the draft plan through March 9, 2015.

- February 24, 2015 7pm - 9pm at Operation Splash, Freeport;
- February 26, 2015 2pm - 4pm at the Long Beach Public Library, Long Beach;
- March 5, 2015 2pm - 4pm at the Education Center, Central Park Zoo, New York City
