The Grand Opening is to be held on Thursday, July 31, at Steele Creek Road and I-485. A special traffic management plan starts Thursday morning to help handle increased traffic and assist with parking. Shuttles (operating 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.) will serve overflow parking lots on Dixie River Road and Shopton/Steele Creek Roads intersection. The event will be held on Saturday, August 2 at the BB&T Ballpark from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. This is planned by the City of Charlotte Neighborhood & Business Services in which a resource fair will disseminate valuable information to participants. The lane of Mint Street along the ballpark will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
The International soccer match featuring Liverpool and AC Milan at Bank of America Stadium will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 2. Mint Street between Graham and Morehead will close from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Event sponsors will have booths set up on Mint Street from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9 in front of NC Music Factory. Event organizers expect 500 participants. The route uses Seaboard Street, N. Johnson Street, Polk Street, Spratt Street, Oliver Street, Statesville Avenue, Dalton Avenue, Plymouth Avenue, Dunice Street, Sylvania Avenue, Grimes Street, and Dalton Street. The Charlotte Pride Festival will be held from 12 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 16 and from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 17. Tryon Street from Stonewall Street to 4th Street, Levine Avenue from Church Street to Tryon Street, Martin Luther King Boulevard from Church Street to College Street, and 3rd Street from Church Street to College Street will close on Saturday, August 16 at 6 a.m. until Sunday, August 17 at 10 p.m.
The Pride Parade will begin Sunday, August 17 at 1 p.m. on 9th Street and Tryon Street. The route uses Tryon Street, 4th Street, and Poplar Street. Staging for the parade will close Tryon Street between 9th Street and 11th Street and the cross streets between Church Street and College Street at 11 a.m.

The event begins on Saturday, August 23 at 6:30 a.m. on East Boulevard between Springdale and Winthrop, The westbound two lanes of East Boulevard will close completely between Euclid Avenue and Dilworth Road West until 8:30 a.m. The Eastbound traffic will open at 9 a.m. The route uses Dilworth Road West, Dilworth Road East, East Boulevard, Park Road, Turn left onto Kingston Avenue, Lyndhurst Avenue, and Worthington Avenue.
