Missouri Career Center- West Plains to Offer Résumé Preparation Workshop

As a veteran, have you ever wondered what employers are looking for when they read a resume and cover letter? Then do we have the workshop for you! 

The Missouri Career Center-West Plains will sponsor a “Resume Preparation” workshop for veterans, from 10:30 am to NOON on September 24th at the Texas County Food Pantry,102-A E State Route 17 in Houston.  This is a FREE workshop for veterans that are seeking job preparation assistance.

In the workshop, veterans will learn how to identify and optimize all of the basic components of a resume.  They will also learn how to translate their military skills and training into understandable civilian terms to create a resume that stands out above other applicants.  The presenter will also discuss job resources available to veterans.

Dedicated Veteran Outreach Staff are stationed at several Missouri Career Centers throughout the state to assist Missouri's employers by connecting them with qualified veteran job seekers and assist veterans with all aspects of the job search and placement into employment.
