Missouri Women-Owned
Businesses grow by 25.1%
There were 163,678
women-owned firms in Missouri in 2012 (the most recent statistics available), according
to data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2012 Survey of Business Owners. This
number is up from 130,772 in 2007, an increase of 25.1 percent.
Currently, one-third of all businesses in Missouri are
women-owned, and these firms accounted for more than $25.6 billion in sales and
receipts in 2012.
