Road closures for tree removal on 4th Street begin Tuesday

Beginning Tuesday, December 1, weather permitting, motorists should expect road closures along 4th Street in Duluth as crews remove trees. The work, which spans from 7th Avenue East to Wallace Avenue, is in preparation for next year's major reconstruction of 4th Street and the utilities beneath it. No parking will be allowed on the blocks where work is in progress.

The first road closure will be on 4th Street beginning at 7th Avenue East.Typically, several blocks will be closed at a time as the work, which is being done by Rick's Tree and Stump Removal, progresses eastward. No Parking signs will be posted at least a day prior to when work will be done.
