The Minnesota Business Tax Education Partnership will hold a free class at the Brooklyn Park WorkForce Center for employers and their representatives interested in information on state and federal employment taxes and other employer responsibilities.
This class is taught by tax professionals from the IRS, U.S. Department of Labor, Minnesota Department of Revenue, the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance Program, and the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Insurers Association.
Class content will include information on:
- Worker status (independent contractor v. employee)
- Tax withholding
- Depositing and reporting
- Labor standard
- Workers’ Compensation insurance
- Unemployment Insurance
- New hire reporting rules
- Department of Homeland Security (immigration) requirements.
