Hello! Welcome to the fall edition of the Ramsey County Off-Leash Dog Area newsletter! The leaves are changing, and before you know it, we'll have snow
on the ground! (GASP!) Please take a moment to read over our latest updates and news on site improvements made this summer; Rice Creek has a brand new parking lot!
Also, please remember that we are able to operate our off-leash dog areas because of those that take time to volunteer. We list upcoming volunteer
opportunities in this newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Crime doesn't stop just because it's fall!
As we move into fall and winter, please remember to leave valuables at home or out of sight in your cars. Criminals often know that when you go into the off-leash area, you will be gone for an extended period of time, which gives them ample opportunity to pilfer your car. If you see a crime taking place, please call 911 and report it to the authorities. The best way to prevent theft from autos is to not give them something to take! If you're going to hide items in your trunk, do it before arriving at the OLDA; criminals can watch you hide items if you wait until the parking lot to move them!

-
Battle Creek: Oct. 14-16, Nov. 11-13
