Twin Lake Drowning


[Little Canada, MN] On Sunday, April 26, 2015, at approximately 11:46 am, the Ramsey County
Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call stating that a canoe, containing three males, had
overturned in Twin Lake. One of the men went under the water and did not resurface. Local residents
who witnessed the incident quickly rescued the remaining two men.
The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and Little Canada Fire Department responded to the location (200
Block of Twin Lake Trail, Little Canada). Upon arrival, Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters began a search
and rescue operation utilizing boats and divers from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Dive Team.
At approximately 4:00 pm, a body was recovered from the lake. The body was turned over to the Ramsey
County Medical Examiner’s Office.
This case remains under investigation by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. Additional information,
including the identity of the victim and the official cause of death, will be released when it becomes
available.
