DRAFT Cost Benefit Analysis available

The state Legislature has directed the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to produce a report that details recommendations for a statewide "recycling refund program" for beverage containers that achieves an 80 percent recycling rate. This report is due to the Legislature in January 2014. The MPCA has posted the draft of the cost-benefit analysis on the draft program design for a recycling refund program for beverage containers in Minnesota.

Public meeting on January 14

The second public meeting to review the updated program design and the cost-benefit analysis will be held January 14. The purpose of the meeting is to allow for public comment and feedback on the work presented.

Tim Buwalda, Senior Consultant, Reclay StewardEdge, will present on the draft cost-benefit analysis.

This meeting will be held off-site due to space considerations at the MPCA. Unfortunately, we cannot webcast from this location.
