The Jeffers Foundation is now offering $500 School Garden Grants for the 2016-2017 school year. Learn more at the links below:

Physical Activity and Public Health Courses return in September 2016!

The University of South Carolina Prevention Research Center is pleased to announce the return of the Physical Activity and Public Health Courses (PAPH).  After a two year hiatus, the courses will be offered in September 2016.

The research course serves post-doctoral personnel and is designed to develop research competencies related to physical activity and public health.  The Practitioner’s Course is for those professionally involved or interested in community-based initiatives to promote physical activity.

The 2016 Physical Activity and Public Health Courses will be held Sept. 13-21, 2016, at the Hilton Columbia Center in Columbia, South Carolina.  Click here for more information and to apply. 

Healthier Corner Stores webinar set for Feb. 10

Join the University of Minnesota School of Public Health on Feb. 10, 2016 from noon to 1 p.m. for the webinar release of the new report from Healthy Eating Research, Minimum Stocking Levels and Marketing Strategies of Healthful Foods for Small Retail Food Stores. The lead authors of the report will give an overview of its contents, followed by a discussion of the policy implications of the report.
