CALENDAR DATA TRAINING
The next series of training sessions for the MCCC calendar data are scheduled for:

TEMPLATE TO CREATE XML FILE
Huge thanks go to Marilyn Kuppe in Edina for developing a template that will create the course submission XML file.  She is making the template available to all, a copy is attached (EdinaTemplate), and has agreed to provide limited support for questions: markuppe@edina.k12.mn.us.  Thank you, Marilyn!!!

The template should be a significant help to districts who currently do not have the resources to create the course index file using XML.  The template will not be needed by districts who have vendors creating an XML file.

If you plan to use the template, please remember that you can only submit one value for the course level field.  If you have a course that has more than one course level, you will need to login to the MCCC system and make a manual adjustment.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M DONE WITH THE COURSE SUBMISSION?
This question has come up frenquently in the last week.  The easiest way to figure out if your course index submission is complete is to:

• Login to the MCCC system (http://education.state.mn.us/MDE/SchSup/DataSubLogin/MCCC/index.html)
• Open the District Course Records link in the left menu
• If your course list does not have any yellow warning icons then the data you have submitted is complete. 
• You will need to review the list of submitted courses to confirm that all your courses have been received at MDE
