HCSO, Hennepin County Environmental Services, the Steve Rummler Hope Foundation and North Memorial Health Care teamed up at this year’s State Fair. At our booth on Cooper Street, we taught people about the dangers of heroin and medicine abuse. Visitors received a handheld fan shaped like a stop sign to symbolize our commitment to stopping drug addicition.
Many volunteers worked at our booth including volunteers from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and our HCSO Special Deputies.
On Aug. 5, Sheriff Stanek, deputies, and HCSO Special Deputy volunteers attended dozens of National Night Out/Night to Unite events across the county. We encouraged communities to actively work together with local law enforcement and the Sheriff's Office to prevent crime and enhance public safety. |
