Media advisory: Hennepin County prepares for winter weather
Despite the warm fall temperatures, Hennepin County is preparing for winter weather and emergencies as part of Winter Hazard Awareness week (November 9 through 13).
County experts from the emergency management and transportation departments are available to provide information and tips on:
- Preparing your home and car for winter emergencies
- Hennepin County's snow and ice removal program
- Pre-snowfall street cleaning
- Driving safe
We also have video available of snow plowing and depending on availability, tours of facilities and demonstrations.
