News release

Boat access at Gray's Bay Marina closed May 4 -7

Boat access at Gray's Bay Marina will be closed Monday, May 4 through Thursday, May 7 due to road construction work in the area. Crews are completing work on Metropolitan Council sewer lines so the access at Gray's Bay Marina will be open on May 8, 2015 -- just in time for the Minnesota fishing opener.

During the closure, boaters can still access Lake Minnetonka at Carson Bay Public Boat Ramp off of Minnetonka Boulevard in Wayzata.

Currently, access to Lake Minnetonka via the public landing on Eastman Lane in Wayzata is closed, but is scheduled to open later in June. This landing is closed for work on the Hennepin County Road 101 reconstruction project. Access to the Wayzata Yacht Club for members remains open from Lake Street (downtown Wayzata).

Contractors will soon be paving and adding curb and gutter to Eastman Lane and McGinty Road and completing the intersection at County Road 101. Once Eastman Lane is paved, access will be restored to the public landing from Lake Street in Wayzata.

For continued up-to-date information on the County Road 101 project and detours, visit www.hennepin.us/countyroad101, email countyroad101@hennepin.us  or call the project information line at 1-866-981-1101.
