The media and the public are invited to attend the grand re-opening and ribbon cutting for the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) St. Paul Claims and Outreach Office Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m.
Staff is proud to celebrate the re-opening of a new and improved St. Paul Claims office, which was located in temporary spaces over the last two years during renovations of the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building. The new office suites, located on the ground floor, provide staff with improved workflow space, advanced conferencing capability and allow Veteran clients to meet with representatives in private office spaces.
The MDVA Claims Offices, located in St. Paul and Fargo, North Dakota, are responsible for more than $1 billion in compensation and pension payments for Minnesota Veterans and their survivors. Last year the St. Paul office submitted more than 17,000 claims on behalf of Veterans and their families. Staff also participates in hundreds of community events annually, around Minnesota, to reach Veterans and educate them about the benefits they have earned.
