Improved DTH needs determination process

In order to improve guidance for lead agencies that do needs determination for day training and habilitation services, DHS changed the application and procedure. If a lead agency proposes to develop, expand, change or terminate DTH day services, it must:

1. Contact the DSD Response Center to alert DHS
2. Use one of two new DTH determination of need applications to continue the process.

See the new DTH services needs determination page in the Community-Based Services Manual (CBSM) for more information on the updated process and links to the new forms.

DTH policy page updated

Also, as part of our normal service-page review process, we updated the DTH page in the CBSM. Please note that the policy did not change. Instead, the page more clearly specifies the scope, standards and responsibilities of providing DTH services.
