Study of HCBS providers’ non-wage costs

DHS seeks home and community-based service (HCBS) providers to complete a survey that will help us both determine rates and the way we reimburse non-wage costs. Provider input is crucial for us to understand the true cost of delivering services.

How to access the survey

To complete the survey, providers should go to the MHCP Provider News page and scroll to the to the third item under “Waiver and AC Program Providers” (located near the bottom of the page). That area has links and instructions.

Background

DHS commissioned Truven Health Analytics (Truven Health), an independent consultant, to perform a study of the non-wage costs incurred by HCBS providers in administering Medicaid services. This study will evaluate existing non-wage costs and payment methodologies so that we can accurately reflect those costs within current payment frameworks.
