Imaging technology company Ikonics Corp. announced plans for a $4.3M expansion that will create 20 new jobs. Once Ikonics meets its hiring and investment goals, it will receive a $508,500 award from DEED's Minnesota Job Creation Fund.

Manufacturing makes our community a great place to live and work. The industry provides more than 30 percent of all jobs in Minnesota today, employing 300,000-plus residents. The payroll tops $18.3B. According to DEED, each of those jobs supports nearly two additional jobs elsewhere in the economy. That adds up to $43.7B driving the economy.

Code42 Announces Planned Expansion Project
First phase of the project will involve making additional investments at Code42's existing Minneapolis headquarters. The project’s second phase may include relocating headquarters to the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis in 2016. DEED will assist the company’s expansions with a package of incentives worth $3M.
