Eleven students will be able to take one free class and certification at Ridgewater College in Willmar this fall, thanks to a DEED FastTRAC grant to Willmar’s Adult Basic Education program, Central Minnesota Jobs and Training and the college. The three-credit-hour medical terminologies class was selected because it is a requirement for five different educational paths at Ridgewater. Copperleaf Assisted Living Home in Willmar will offer experiential learning trips for the students. An ABE instructor will teach students the skills they need to succeed in college and organize after-class study groups. Read more. |
