Bemidji Firms Among Fastest Growing Grand Forks Herald-9/27/15 Inc. magazine's 2015 list of the fastest-growing companies in the country includes four from Bemidji. AirCorps Aviation, Choice Therapy, Karvakko Engineering and EXB Solutions all made the rankings. Dave Hengel, executive director of Greater Bemidji, said having four Bemidji companies on the Inc. 5000 is a validation of what he's noticed the past few years. Rochester Area Broadband Requests Rochester Post Bulletin-9/23/15 Of the more than 40 applications received for the state's Border to Border Broadband Development Grant Program, seven were for projects in southeastern Minnesota. That's a significant increase from last year, when no southeastern Minnesota entities applied for $20 million in grants. The local projects will face some stiff competition. The state has just more than $10 million in grant funds available and has received more than $29 million in requests, according to DEED spokeswoman Madeline Koch.
Rochester (No. 1) and Edina (No. 22) both made Livability.com's list of the best small to
midsized cities in the country. Rochester, home of the
Mayo
Clinic, was cited for its health care system, as well as its
schools, affordable housing and entertainment options.
