Mid-Year Weatherization Policy Update set for January 20

Service Providers are invited to attend the Mid-Year Weatherization Policy Update on January 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Coyote Moon in St. Cloud. Attendees from each agency are limited to three staff members. We ask that WAP Coordinators attend, along with a lead auditor or QCI and up to one additional staff member. Topics covered will include updates to the Weatherization Policy Manual, Allowable Measures Chart, and Forms, along with the WA 8.10 update and the Minnesota Fuel Switch Policy and Procedure. We will also provide follow-up information in response to questions raised at the November Auditor/QCI Feedback Session.

Note: MWAG will be held the morning of January 21 to facilitate ease of travel for those attending both the Mid-Year Weatherization Policy Update and MWAG meeting.

HEP Crew Leader Trainings

Two sessions of the BPI HEP Crew Leader Training will be offered January 11-15 and February 1-5 at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet, Minn. Crews from crew-based programs will be given priority to attend this training. Registration information will be sent directly to these agencies. Crew-based programs are strongly encouraged to send their Crew Leaders and Technicians to this training. After crews from crew-based programs have been accommodated, any remaining spaces will be made available for other agencies to offer to their weatherization contractors.

Coming soon! WA 8.10 Instructions

Commerce has developed a PowerPoint presentation along with written instructions for the new WA 8.10 upgrade. The PowerPoint presentation will be emailed to all Service Providers in the near future. These instructions will be incorporated into the WA User’s Manual Addendum (Appendix C) for the Mid-Year Policy Update.

Happy Holidays!

From the entire weatherization team here at Commerce, we wish you a warm and wonderful holiday season. Thank you for the work you do to provide low-income Minnesotans with high quality weatherization services. See you in the New Year!
