West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation’s free Kids
Komotion concert series to begin June 25th
WEST BLOOMFIELD, June 1, 2015 — The West
Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Commission (WBPRC) will host its annual Kids
Komotion concert series beginning June 25th. The free concert series will run
once a month from June until August at Marshbank Park.
For the first
time ever, WBPRC is offering an evening concert as part of the series.
“We felt it
was important to accommodate parents who, in the past, were unable to attend
the series due to work schedules,” said Ted Davis, recreation superintendent
for WBPRC. “We have a great lineup scheduled, and we’re looking forward to
another successful concert season.”
This year,
WBPRC along with presenting sponsor, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, welcome
three new performers to the concert hill. The lineup is as follows:
- June 25th
– Bob and Carl at 11 a.m.
- July 23rd
– Mr. Seley and the Troublemakers at 7 p.m.
- August 20th
– Deep Fried Pickle Project at 11 a.m.
Inflatable bouncers, provided by Oakland County Parks and Recreation, will be available 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the concerts. Both WBPRC as well as
concert sponsors will be handing out giveaways and raffle prizes to concert-goers.
The Kids
Komotion concerts will take place rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to
stay after the performances for a chance to meet the performers, play on the
play structures and explore all of the park amenities.
