March, August & November 2016 Calendars Available The Bureau of Elections has prepared three calendars for the 2016 state and federal elections: March 8, 2016 Presidential Primary Dates & Deadlines 2016 Summary Calendar for Candidate and Proposal Deadlines 2016 Michigan Election Dates Booklet If you subscribe to the digital calendar or use the Merit eMail calendar, you will find that calendar has already been updated. The digital calendar enables the user to view the calendar graphically in a daily, weekly, or monthly format.  In addition, it can be linked directly to Outlook or another Google calendar.  Full instructions on how to link the calendar to Outlook can be found in the eLearning Center. Access to the digital calendar can be found in the eLearning Center as well by clicking on the calendar icon in the scrolling news feed. The local May 2016 calendar will be released at a future date.

Know Who to Call! The Bureau of Elections is divided into three divisions.  Refer to the Bureau of Elections Contacts for Election Officials link to see which staff number or email address to contact when you have a question or problem.  The second page helps you direct your call more efficiently!

Reminder - Accreditation

Classes for New Election

Officials

As a reminder, three Accreditation Classes for New Elections Officials remain scheduled throughout the state. If you have not taken this two-day course, designed and required specifically for new election officials to obtain their initial accreditation, now is the time to take advantage of classes offered outside of Lansing.

Register for a class in the

eLearning Center under the Category "Classes" or by earching for the key word "classes".

Classes are available at the following dates and locations and will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day:

Jackson - October 6 & 7

Bay City - October 13 & 14

Big Rapids - October 20 & 21

In conjunction with the

Accreditation classes above, BOE is also offering Qualified Voter File training for new users. This class prepares a new user to manage voter registration through the State of Michigan’s Qualified

Voter File software.

Classes are available at the

following dates and locations and will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

Jackson - October 8th

Big Rapids - October 22nd
