High school students
and parents in Southeast Michigan are invited to attend a free informational
session to learn how students can gain advanced manufacturing work skills while
earning a paycheck through the Michigan Advanced Technician Training (MAT²) program offered by the Michigan
Economic Development Corporation and participating employers.
The
MAT² Parent Information Night
session, taking place June 5 at Macomb Community College in Warren, will
provide an overview on MAT², an
innovative training program that combines classroom instruction with paid work experience
in a three-year, no-cost program in the fields of mechatronics,
information technology, and technical product design.
Pre-registration
is not required. Sign-in begins at 6:30 p.m. The
presentation will take place from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday,
June 5 in RST Building, Room S-101 at Macomb Community College South Campus
located at 14500 E. 12 Mile Rd. in Warren.

Customer Service - National Bronze
Mfg Co. is looking for candidates with experience in customer service in a
manufacturing company where you were responsible for all or most of the
following: taking calls (high volume of calls) from clients looking to
order new product(s), quoting pricing for products, helping with return of
products, answering questions regarding billing, receiving, shipping, light
troubleshooting, assisting with general product questions and product
specifications from company product lines.
Production Scheduler – This position will
be responsible for preparing and maintaining production schedules for our
production facilities, managing raw material and shipment flow, review incoming
orders, while working to build strong relationships with corporate teams and
plant leaders. The right candidate should have a passion for metal products
manufacturing and will have the drive to succeed in our high performance
culture.
Account Manager – Account Managers
act as the liaison between a company and its clients, and it's their
responsibility to see that those clients are maximizing the value of the
products and services provided. But there's a large sales component to their
job as well. It's the Account Manager’s duty to maintain, retain, and usually
upsell to their portfolio of clients or accounts.
Shipping/Receiving
Clerk
– This position is responsible for making arrangements for shipment pick-up and
delivery and ensuring that they are an active part of both procedures. The
Shipping/Receiving Clerk interact with people who come in to pick up shipments
and delivery people in order to maintain knowledge of each shipment, and handle
merchandise inventory systems to ensure that the items ordered are in stock.

This
position requires a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in

International Studies, or a related field, in addition to a minimum of five to
eight years of related experience and/or training in economic development,
business development, or developing and implementing investment strategies and
visions.
