The Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) has instituted a telephone number for UCX customers (Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Service members) to call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with inquiries regarding their military unemployment claim. Customers will be able to leave a voice message regarding their UCX claim at (855) 707-8387 and UIA Staff will return the call within 48 hours.

The American Council on Education (ACE’s) Military Evaluations program is holding two webinars concerning military evaluations and attendant credits. The program has reviewed and made college credit recommendations for military courses for years. Wounded Veteran Internship Program - Wounded veterans who cannot return to their previous civilian jobs after serving in combat can find opportunities with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). This program is being implemented to meet the employment needs of returning wounded veterans of the armed forces as they transition into the civilian workforce.
