Chef Container, a refuse and recycling hauling company in Holland, is seeking a Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help the company exceed the recycling goals of its community and its customers.

The Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanic will perform repairs and maintenance on off-road trucks, trailers, baler and heavy equipment in order to maximize equipment up-time and safe operations. Core responsibilities of this position also include examining vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunctions, diagnose mechanical problems, perform minor engine, hydraulic, and troubleshooting repairs, and perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.

The ideal candidate will have the equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D., three years of related maintenance and repair experience, knowledge of machines and tools, and experience performing routine maintenance on equipment. Certification in the repair and maintenance of mechanical systems is a plus.
