Additional bridge work along US-127 near Mason begins next week

CLOSURE ALERT:
US-127 (Ingham County)
Starting next week, construction begins on two additional bridges along US-127 just south of Mason.
On Monday, June 9, Covert Road over US-127 will close for bridge deck repairs. When the bridge is closed, a detour will be posted utilizing the Bellevue Road interchange. The bridge is expected to reopen by the end of the day on Tuesday, June 10, with construction on the bridge continuing through June.
On Tuesday, June 10, Barnes Road over US-127 will close for bridge deck repairs. When the bridge is closed, a detour will be posted utilizing the Bellevue Road and Kipp Road interchanges.
Ramps at the Barnes Road interchange will be open during construction. Only the bridge over US-127 will be closed. The bridge is expected to reopen in mid-to-late July.
In addition, bridge work continues at Holt Road and M-36/Cedar Street over US-127. Work on Holt Road is expected to be complete by Friday, June 13. Work on the M-36/Cedar Street bridge will continue for at least the next two weeks.
One lane of traffic is being maintained on each bridge during construction.
