Annual M-15 Heritage Route Yard Sale,

Saturday, May 3

April 21, 2014 -- The annual M-15 Heritage Route Yard Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 3. The event, which is held each year on the first Saturday in May, allows participants to visit historic villages along the route during this all-day event. The yard sale will stretch from Clarkston to Vassar, almost the full length of the M-15 Heritage Route.

The M-15 Coalition, a partnership of local units of governments, includes area chambers of commerce and municipalities, and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). The coalition serves to promote, preserve and protect the recreational resources of M-15 through heightened awareness of the route. In addition to aiding in the revitalization of small towns along M-15, the coalition assists MDOT in relieving traffic congestion along northbound I-75 during peak travel and tourism seasons.

For more information about the M-15 Heritage Route Yard Sale, contact Jakki Sidge,  Village of Goodrich administrator, at 810-636-2570 or administrator@villageofgoodrich.com; Shirley Kautman-Jones, Atlas Township supervisor, at 810-636-2548 or skjones@atlastownship.org; or Kathy Thurman, Brandon Township supervisor, at 248-627-4918 or kthurman@brandontownship.us.
